Neu am Lst. ÖRT: Jasmine Pattany
Erneut wächst unser Sempathy-Projekt-Team:
Im Mai begrüßen wir unsere neues Teammitglied Jasmine Isabelle Pattany, M.Sc. Jasmine hat an der TU Leiden/Delft ihren Master of Science erlangt und zuletzt als wissenschaftliche Mit-arbeiterin an der University of Miami gearbeitet.
My name is Jasmine Isabella Pattany, and I am originally from Miami, Florida. I received my bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and International Relations from the University of Miami. During an internship, I had the opportunity to attend the ISIE Americas conference, where I was first introduced to the field of Industrial Ecology.
After working as a consultant, I pursued a master’s degree in Industrial Ecology, where my thesis focused on the supply chain resilience of cobalt for clean energy technologies. This later led to my role at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as a Circular Supply Chain Analyst.
Through my academic and professional experiences, I developed a strong interest in understanding metal supply chains and helping make them more circular, resilient, and equitable.
Describe your hometown in a few words.
A famous Will Smith song!
What does your ideal Sunday look like?
Waking up to have a nice cup of coffee then enjoying a beach day with my loved ones and a good book.
What was your first impression of Bayreuth?
A picturesque town out of a fairy tail novel.
What motivates you anew every day?
I feel a deep sense of responsibility to help “push the needle forward” in any way I can. I believe climate change is one of the defining challenges of our time, and I want my work to contribute to limiting its impacts for future generations, ecosystems, and the animals and plants we share this planet with. Beyond my research, I also hope to make a positive impact through the everyday interactions I have with others.
Wir wünschen ein großartigen Start, viele neue spannende Eindrücke aus Deutschland und der Region und allezeit viel Erfolg bei der Forschung.
